Despite recent reports of UFC-ousted welterweight Paul Daley signing with Strikeforce, Mike Afromowitz shot down rumors of his signing. Both sides are negotiating a potential deal that would bring the heavy hitter to the company, but a deal has not been reached at this time.

Daley’s management, due to ongoing negotiations with Strikeforce and various other promotions, could not comment on where his client would be fighting, "At this point, I'm not really in a position to comment at this point and time We've definitely been talking to Strikeforce, and we've been talking to a number of different groups. But right now, I'm in a position where I can't make any comment on that, unfortunately."

Daley will return to action next month for the Texas-based promotion Sharkfights in what will be there most stacked card to date. An opponent has not been named for Daley as of yet, but this will complete his one-fight deal with the promotion.
