Report: Urijah Faber Suffers Setback; Return Pushed Back To November

Reported by:Patrick Boucher of MMAinsiders.com - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

Former WEC featherweight Champion “The California Kid” Urijah Faber’s return to action may meet another setback according to a report on Sherdog.

Faber was set to return to action after losing a five round war against the reigning champion Jose Aldo at WEC 50 against Takeya Mizugaki in Faber’s debut in the bantamweight division, but was forced to withdraw after sustaining a knee injury during training. The injury did not require surgery, so he was expected to return in September to face Mizugaki.

The fight between the two stars will now likely be pushed back yet again to November, possibly December depending on Faber’s rehabilitation.

Stay tuned for further details on this developing story.
