Rory Markham Pulled From TJ Grant Fight After Suffering Injury

Rory Markham (1-1 in the UFC) was forced to pull out of his scheduled bout against TJ Grant after suffering a quad injury. The news was first reported on MMA Weekly.

Markham and Grant were set to do battle this coming Saturday on the undercard of UFC’s Ultimate Fighter Finale, which airs live on SpikeTV at the Pearl in Las Vegas.

Markham is hopeful on returning to action by August. Markham was last seen at UFC 95 when he suffered a tough knockout loss to Dan Hardy. Rory also holds knockout of the night, in his UFC debut when he landed a vicious head kick to Brodie Farber at UFC Fight Night: Silva vs. Irvin.

As of press time, there was no word as to who will replace Markham. There is also a possibility that the fight will be scrapped entirely, with only 5 days till fight day.
